Yoga Teacher Training

Raleigh NC Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School for 200-hour yoga teacher training (YTT). This training program offers a unique Hatha yoga experience where you will deepen your personal practice on and off the mat based on Pantajali’s eight limbs of yoga. We limit the training to a small group of students to ensure that you receive personalized attention on this journey. 

To reinforce the concept that the practice of yoga is more than physical postures on the mat, we take field trips outside the studio. These experiences help you learn how to practice mindfulness of thoughts, words, and actions in real world situations. 

Claudia takes a homeschooling approach to yoga teacher training, allowing for a natural flow based on the students’ needs. The training covers all of the essential components of the curriculum without a planned structure, with everything coming together at the end. See below for a breakdown of the training hours. 

Upon completion of the 200-hour yoga teacher training, students will be eligible to apply for certification through the Yoga Alliance Registry. Whether you plan to become a yoga instructor or are taking yoga teacher training for your own personal development, our program prepares you like no other for leading yoga classes and for life. The course will show you how to conquer your fears and gain confidence. We start by providing you with a strong base of knowledge that is then reinforced through yoga teacher practice/karma teaching hours.  

YTT is a journey like no other. It is challenging, informative, eye-opening, and rewarding. Our foundational course covers all of the beautiful gifts that yoga has to offer. You will learn about the foundations of yoga, breathing, alignment, anatomy, modifications, corrections, Sanskrit, business aspects, and most of all…how to teach. 

Our goal is for you to establish a strong foundation in a variety of yoga styles. After the training, you will be able to teach and practice styles of yoga including Hatha, Vinyasa, gentle, beginner’s, Ashtanga-influenced, Iyengar- influenced, restorative, Yin, and chair. You will learn how to assist students and offer modifications as needed for all ages and abilities.

If you are a veteran with a disability rating of 20% or higher, you may be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation (Chapter 31) Training through the Veteran Administration.

Part I: Physical Practice (100 hours) 

All class instruction focuses on form, alignment, injuries, modifications, and adjustments.

Make-up hours for missed classes are provided for an additional fee of $150/day. Required books are not included in tuition. If applicable, snow days will be made up at earliest possible convenience.
