A Spring Fed My Land

To be exact it isn’t my land.
Could I really own a land?
Really really own a little peace of Earth?
I don’t really know.

When I was younger, my Padrino/ Godfather, Miquel, took us a a cousin’s property in the mountains of Puerto Rico.
Our cousin/ primo was building a glass house in the center of his own mountain and there was a spring that he piped right into a glass house he was building. It was a tiny house.
Around 500 sq ft.

The little Casita I had built here known as y Respira is around 400 sq ft.
It was supposed to have been a glass house, but I didn’t want to imagine someone falling thru the glass, so I opted for some walls.
It was with my primo’s house in mind.

This spring water that came out of a rock in the mountain was the most refreshing water I have ever tasted.
Refreshing.

I hope to never forget it ever.
We have a Santevia water purifier and it is the closest I have tasted. We have it in the showers and it is what we drink.

My Madrina/ God Mother, Lorna used to also take us to the mountains and the waterfalls. One that I really enjoyed and that left an imprint was hiking and swimming in the The pool of El Toro Negro.
I just love the way waterfall water and river water make the energy of the body vibrate at higher levels. It is a fresh and raw feeling that in my mind, if it cleanses and breaks down rocks and stones, it sure should be able to wash away and negative energies.

So here I am, as an adult still thinking about a house in the mountains.
Land, a Spring, places to hike and be away from the chaotic and emotional world.
The natural world is simple. It is about surviving the simple. Not the first world simple, but the reality of nonsense in our heads and to just be like a tree/ Standing Person.

We close on our little peace in January. I realize we don’t need the land if we can technically go and camp anywhere in our rooftop. But the dream came more into reality when Victoria began manifesting a bakery in the mountains.
My life is no longer completely mine, but hers also. Why? Bc I chose to have her and the Universe said it was in my cards.
I am grateful. So, I set on the mission to find space where she can opt to have a bakery or not.
Either way, my dream was to connect more with the mountains and well apparently so is hers.
So the Spring not only fed the land, it also fed my heart. The taste of the water, the feel of the water, the water and all of its lessons.
And so, I share this knowing the Season of Water is Winter and the Spring will flow from the places we will never see and nourish us in many ways.

And get this…. the land we found in Bakersville. By chance we decided to pass by the land to use as comparison….
