Accountability & Responsibility to Yourself by SELFNESS

What does it me to be accountable to yourself?
Each day, I awake and spend at least 1 hr to myself in bed. Where I scan my body and converse with all my cells to see how they are, how they slept, and how am I going to be responsible for my personal health.
Accountability, for myself first. It is easy to put other before ourselves. I always remind myself that it is okay to practice SelfNess and not feel guilty or resentful towards others later. Bc in time, when we keep putting ourselves on the back burner and forget our importance of a happy homeostasis we will eventually be asked by our bodies to stop, step back, and re-shift.
One mindbody, one vessel, love it. And it makes for a better world.

But of course this is just one perspective.
I find that laziness of self can be extremely detrimental for my health. Moderation is such a key to maintaining homeostasis. You know when you feel very energetically sluggish and your body is spent bc you have been going, goin, going, non stop? Consuming yourself with everybody else and everything else except yourself? And then all of a sudden you are not feeling well and are forced to rest. Maybe an illness creeps in or an expressing of a symptom….. This is your body speaking to you.
The question is… Will you be willing to listen to your cells? How valuable are they to your well being?

Back to every morning. Check in with yourself. See how ‘You’ are doing. Find your breathing.
Have a kind and gentle conversation with yourself.
Make it an honest conversation.
Like really honest. uncomfortably honest.
Any time there is feeling of discomfort, give it some attention.
Sending it your breath, your life force. Send it some love. Place your hand over that area, with the intention of find relief.
This is the first step in being responsible to myself, what are yours?

“There is always a gap between intention and action.”
— Paulo Coehlo

My intention is to sleep well at night. My action is to take all the mindful and necessary steps to make sure I sleep good at night.
Actions speak louder than words kinda thing.
So I will leave you with this question….

How well are your nights?
