"Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise."

-Victor Hugo, "Les Miserables"

At the darkest moment in her life, yoga became Kandice's sun.

Kandice lost her father in September 2022. It shattered her world into a million pieces. She never imagined life without her dad. A month after his death, Kandice began practicing yoga. That's when light started to creep back in.

From the moment she began taking classes, she knew she wanted to be a yoga teacher. In March 2023, she began her training with Claudia at y Respira.

During her training, Kandice found healing in the movements and comfort in the meditations. The more she learned, the more curious she became. The more curious she became, the more courage she developed. She completed her training in April 2024.

Her teaching style is humble, curious and fun. She brings a sense of authenticity to her practice, and humor to the movements.

Outside of yoga, Kandice enjoys a LONG list of activities. This includes working at a cat shelter on the weekends, practicing martial arts, and spending time with her family at home.
